Dear Friends,
I know that you need an update on me! I know you miss me and love me! :) You all are doing such a great job blogging and keeping me informed on your weekly activities and adventures! Since you have so much time can you please come update MY bloggy world for me! :) Seriously, I am so far behind on my list of things to add on here! Oh well, I will update the old stuff later!
Okay, so for a shorter version. Friday was Halloween, right. Well, we do not do Halloween...I do not like the devil and I certainly don't want my children looking at the devil. We did have homeschool co-op that day and only one family came dressed up. No big deal, but the topic of the day for most kids was Halloween. All the families have different views concerning the matter and that is cool with me. But I teach my children what I want them know and so I have repeatedly told them about the real witches and warlocks who pray curses over people on Halloween and how the spiritual real is very real. Dealing with demons are not fun and games!!!
But anyways, after co-op a teacher came up to me and gave me a hug and told me how proud she was of Ryen. She said that she had tears in her eyes because of Ryen's stand! Her classmates were all talking about what they were going to be dressed up as and all that junk. Well, when it got to Ryen's turn she took a stand and said that she did not do Halloween because she hates devil and Halloween is about fear and scary things that are not from God. This teacher said that she faced big peer pressure and she with stood it! This lady is from a state where she saw the witches out praying curses over those in her neighborhood. Praise God she had at the Blood of Jesus protecting her! Yeah for Ryen!
Now, I will not judge someone who does Halloween. That is YOUR choice not mine! But I am responsible for raising MY children and after looking into the history of the celebration...I was not interested the party! I have a lot of friends who think it is okay t0 trick or treat...whatever, fine with me...that is your choice.
So, we made a new tradition...Hallowed Be Thy Name Party. We invited some friend out to the state park for hot dogs and smores. We told jokes and sang. We had the BEST time! The girls loved it!
Then on Saturday Mom came over and we spent time with her. Sunday she had a jewelry show in Smithville. This is her 3rd show and she has done really well and sold a lot! She has more ladies wearing her necklaces and her style is very eye-catching now! I am really proud of her!
Well, I have more, but my kiddos are demanding attention! Love you all!
