Last year around this time, I brought my mom home with me to Bastrop after kissing my Daddy good bye in this life. It was crazy hard. Really hard, but God has proven Himself faithful in so many ways. One of the neatest things is watching God be a husband to my mom. Just like we have seen how God cares for the orphans and takes care of their needs supernaturally, He also cares for the widow. He is so sweet to take care of little things that only He can care for.
Mom has made some tough choices and actions this year. She decided to spend her summer repairing and making the Brenham house in perfect in order to sale. She asked God to send her a person to help her.... And God did. He sent a young man named Louis, who is from Belize. Not only did she need him, he needed her. His baby was born with a heart issue and mom was able to pray and agree with him for healing. They are very close now still. Mom has a contract on her house and it appears to be going well. Closing should happen first of the year. Yay God!
Our friends and family here in Bastrop have been so sweet and kind. Beyond loving and we feel so loved and cared for everyday. Today they delivered flowed, cards, and balloons to honor Dad and to love on us. It was too hard to read them today, but we will over the holidays.
