Amaris turns 3

Sissy had a birthday! The BIG 3!!!! On her birthday we spent the day together at the YMCA playing in the water park! She is really brave and loves going down the big water slide (riding with her daddy). Since swim lessons she loves to go to the lap pool and go under the water and act like she is swimming. We packed a picnic lunch and ate in the sun. It was a wonderful family day. My favorite kind of day. It was a beautiful weekend with a high of 85 degrees!

One story about my sweet Amaris: After our swim at the Y, we went to the Home and Garden show and then ate Mexican food. Well, we were downtown Austin right by another YMCA and I wanted to go and check it out. So, we took all the kids in and it fun! On our tour we got to the indoor pool and Sister starts taking her clothes off. I guess she thought she was going swimming. It was so funny!

On Sunday we had a fun Dora the Explorer party at Lake Bastrop. She had a blast!
I have to tell this story even though most of you know it. We were getting all packed to head to the park for the party and I hear Sissy saying, "Help". She had the cake on it side! I am sorry.....but I lost it! No....I do not cuss! But the first thing that came out of my mouth was, "Oh no...it looks like crap now!" Well, you know what.... I had the right to say that, because I had worked very hard and spent a lot of money and got everything together with 3 babies hanging on me and that is that! So, Amaris says, "What mama?" And I told her in a tough voice, "Sister, your cake looks like pooh-pooh." She started crying, saying " My cake looks like pooh-pooh." Well, to make a long story short I had to work on my attitude before the party for sure! So, we are running late and we still have to stop and ice. While Michael was getting ice Amaris tells me she is sorry. It was so sweet and it made everything better. And Ryen tells her, " Amaris, that is the right thing to say." Then next I tell her that I am sorry for getting upset and she tells me, "Mom, you are sorry for being upset and I am sorry for dropping the cake". Wow, one minute 3 year olds are babies and the next they are all grown up! How fun is my life!!!!!!!??????????

Amaris telling me she is 3.
