Last Thursday, we went to Port Aransas for a weekend trip with the family. Mimi and Papaw rented a beach house for all the family. Marcus, Rebecca, Luke (or Duke), Mimi and Papaw, Allie & Dane and the Jackson five all showed up for fun in sun. We took off on Thursday and Mimi and Papaw rode with Ryen, Amaris and Luke all the way down there! We had Cami and we almost forgot we had her with us. We stopped to eat fresh shrimp at Charlot Plumbers in Rockport. Oh, it was so good!
We arrived at the beach house and headed straight for the beach. The girls loved it!! It has been over a year since we were at the beach and Cami was only two months old when we were in Florida. So, it was fun to see the excitement in her eyes. On Thursday, we had four adults to four kids and all was well. Friday night, Marcus, Rebecca, Allie and Dane all showed up for the fun! We ate a ton of good food. We had a shrimp boil one night that Marcus made for us...yummy!
Saturday was Ryen's 5th, so we celebrated while we were there. Michael and I got up early Saturday morning to go jogging, but Cami woke up so we decided to go to Rockport to get Ryen a bike. We made her wait all day for it and when she got it she was not very excited! Amaris started crying because she wanted a bike. After Michael finally made her get on it and ride around the block, she fell in love with it. She has been riding it everyday in the garage and made us go around the block last night. I am happy she loves it as I thought we were going to have to take it back.
We came on Sunday afternoon. The whole way home Michael kept saying, "I can't believe we are going home. I want to go back to the beach. We just left and now it is over!!"
He is a big kid!!
Thank you Mimi and Papaw for the trip! We enjoyed it so much!! Are you enjoying the peace and quiet??
Well, our summer has come to an end. School was very hard to jump back into this week, but we are homeschooling so there is great mercy!!!! Hope everyone had a great summer too. Fall is around the corner and it will be so lovely!!

Happy Birthday Ryen!!! That is too funny that Amaris wanted Ryen's bike. The beach looks so fun. We didn't make it this year, maybe next. :)
