Ryen First Tooth

Ryen lost her FIRST tooth on Sunday afternoon around 6 pm. It was really loose and I encouraged her to pull it herself! At first she was really nervous and did not want to do it. It had to be pulled that night and I was too chicken to do it too. Michael was gone and I really wanted him home so he could pull it! Well, she got brave and pulled it out and threw it on the ground. She was so shocked that it came out and in her own words, "freaked out". Right away it started to bleed and I told her to go get a towel while I looked for the tooth.
We decided not to do the tooth fairy. I looked up what a fairy is and I did not like what the dictionary said about a fairy.

According to the dictionary:
A fairy is one of a class of supernatural beings, generally conceived as having a diminutive human form and possessing magical powers with which they intervene in human affairs.

Being a Christian, the only supernatural beings that I want to teach my children about are the REAL supernatural beings that God created. Nothing more.

So, we chose to skip out on the fairies, but still celebrate her growing up by giving her money and praise. We made a money jar for all of her family to put coins in it when they see her. We put her tooth in a plastic bag and taped it to the jar for her to show off!

Now her other front tooth is loose and within a couple of weeks I am sure it will be falling out too.
I do have pictures.....still looking for a cord to connect to the computer!

In other news:
Awana Plans are busy and underway! Lots to do with that! Registration is happening! Teachers are picked, training is next!

Getting ready mentally for our coast trip!
Porta Potties are going good!! We had money to pay our first month's bills! :)
