Kentucky Pumper Show

In February Michael, Tony and I went to Kentucky to the Pumper Show! It was a lot of fun and we laughed most of the time! My cousin Megan went to Louisville at the same time. She grew up there and so she enjoyed driving us around for dinner each night!

Breakfast the day we left. Megan's grandmother joined us! She was really sweet!

I will not say who ate this and who still lost weight eating it!
The girls at the Irish Pub! My meal was SOOO good here!
Megan at the cupcake shop!
I had the peanut butter cup chocolate cupcake! Yum!
This was funny! Tony said, Hey Traci take my picture".

So I took his picture and then he did this....Here are the pictures of the Pumper Show that we went to each day! They had some amazing stuff! I really enjoyed myself here! I walked around there thinking how much I love this business and who would have ever thought that I would!

These are shower stalls!

The Pumper Show had some BIG trucks!

After 4 days of looking at all the brands of toilets we decided to go with this one!

Baby changing table in this one!
This is what I am talking about it!

We had a great time! We learned a lot and I really think that it expanded our thinking as well! I cannot wait until next year!

What's happening!

I have had a very busy week. Mom had her first jewelry show her at my house. I invited about 40 women and 25 or so came. She sold over $850 in 4 hours. She booked 3 shows for now until Christmas. She was THRILLED! And so were we. It was hard work, but it paid off. God is really blessing her business now and she is creating some really beautiful pieces now. I am proud of her! She deserves it!!!

To bless us for our help she took us girls to Schlitterbahn. We stayed the night and made it a mini 2 day trip. We had a BLAST! We even took all three girls down a water ride. Cami was so SCARED! Bless her heart! She had no idea what was going to happen. Ryen and Amaris LOVED it! Next year we are going to get season tickets and go all the time. We called our trip, "Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun Trip"! Thanks mom for making a memory with us!

I need to upload my pictures that are on my camera, but I cannot find the cord. New computer issues!

In other news:

Our porta potty business is growing. We hired a dear friend to help Michael. Dane is going to help him clean on the weekends. Michael has to take a break. He is working way too much and we miss him too. Dane just got a new full time job, but is willing to help on the weekends. Tony is loving this business too. He bought a truck for us to use...well, him too! But it was a good excuse for him to buy one now. The porta potties need it! :) Vicki is helping us a lot too! She is keeping everything in line and organized. She does the work that we either forget to do or can't do because of time! Praise God for Vicki!

Also, I have been doing a "Healthy Living" Class at Vicki's house. We are reading through Dr. Don Clobert's book. Now I am all inspired to eat healthy. Gosh it is hard with kids! I gave them broccoli for lunch. It was funny because they like broccoli....but not for lunch!!:) So, I look over and see Amaris' plate. Her broccoli was gone and I started to praise her. She said, "oh no, mom it fell on the floor". Well, she had a bowl of meat and it did not fall on the floor and the broccoli was with it in the bowl all together. So, I asked her "how come the meat did not fall out and only the broccoli?" We gave me a grin and I knew that she threw it out so she would not have to eat it! Smart huh!? I am smarter! I gave her more! She said, "Thanks Mom"!

Well, tonight we are going to Zilker park to watch a movie or play or something! I don't know. We are going with Laura C.

Long Life...87

We are heading out of town in a few minutes to Wadsworth, which is close to Bay City, Texas. My grandmother is turning 87 and we are going to celebrate. Wow. I just thought about it...87 years old. I consider that "long life", don't you? Especially when we just had a death in Bastrop of a young man who was 31 and married, but no kids.

We will be celebrating with her and then heading to Matagorda to spend the night with the Kooi's at their beach house. We are excited and I will post pictures when we get home.

Michael is home.....working. His dad is building a fence with some guys from the church so that we can move all of our units to a new lot off of Hwy. 71. Our new office is there too. Michael is cleaning the units today and collecting $$$. Lots going on today! I pray everyone has a blessed weekend.

HAPPY 87th BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!

Our New Business

Michael and I have a new business called American Porta Can of Texas. It is a portable toilet company. We took over for the previous owners July 1st. Our dear friends built this business in 9 years and it is very successful. It has been pretty busy for us since July1st. The 4th of July was crazy with new deliveries and a family reunion in the mix. We have enjoyed it so far! The business itself is not hard. The hardest part for us has been juggling a 2, 4, and 5 year in the middle of it all. For Michael the hardest part is learning a routine and mentally switching gears from a corporate job to a blue collar job. I answer the phones and run errands and Michael is operating it all. We feel like God has opened this door for us and we are excited to see where He will take this company. We know that it is going to expand quickly with God's favor!
Michael is still working at Riata Technologies in Austin and is not planning on leaving. We will be doing this on the side and then we will hire people to help us when it gets too big for us!

This is a very busy time of the year for me. Awana starts in a month. I am working on getting plans made for teachers and Directors. Ryen will be a Spark and Amaris will be a Cubbie.

Homeschooling plans are also in full swing! Whoo! Pray for good time management for me in Jesus Name!
