Day 1

And we are off...

We decided to break up our driving time so that Baby Liv would not have to sit in her seat for 7 hours. We stopped in Corpus Christi for the night at the Omni Hotel.

On the 3 hour drive Liv did great. She was ready to get out by the last hour, so I jumped in the back and we talked. I kinda got a bit car sick since I was leaning over talking to her and I was hungry. I was holding out for fresh shrimp!!

Our hotel pool was fun and Liv loved hanging out in the warm, fresh beach air.

We are up early and back on the road.

Long Life...87

We are heading out of town in a few minutes to Wadsworth, which is close to Bay City, Texas. My grandmother is turning 87 and we are going to celebrate. Wow. I just thought about it...87 years old. I consider that "long life", don't you? Especially when we just had a death in Bastrop of a young man who was 31 and married, but no kids.

We will be celebrating with her and then heading to Matagorda to spend the night with the Kooi's at their beach house. We are excited and I will post pictures when we get home.

Michael is home.....working. His dad is building a fence with some guys from the church so that we can move all of our units to a new lot off of Hwy. 71. Our new office is there too. Michael is cleaning the units today and collecting $$$. Lots going on today! I pray everyone has a blessed weekend.
